Forever Kansas

Pouring over countless photos from numerous talented photographers to decide which images should be included, where positioned and how large to show them in this oversized, hard-cover, coffee table book was a real treat. This was my first book design project and was special to me for another reason: the project was a tribute to the late editor of Kansas! Magazine, which I had been working alongside for several issues. No images in the book were altered in Photoshop, not even the amazing shot I chose for the cover showing a bull bison in front of a perfect full moon; or the back cover image of a barn against an almost unimaginable sky. I only hope my design did justice to the photographer’s work and to Bill Kurtis’ introduction.
